Sorry to hear about the incident. I have not joined up on group rides just because of this...and if I do...I take a lot of time observing the riders in the group before I go with any of them. Good luck repairing the bike and glad you weren't injured bad.

When I ride in groups I'm usually the slowest rider since I don't like riding hard around the highways. Nothing for me to prove out there and only doing it to enjoy the great 1098.

Glad you're alright however. That's what counts.

Out of curiosity, how bad was the other bike?
Didn't see the other bike as it was a ways ahead of mine. Plus I didn't want to get near the other guy I was so pissed.

There is a line of scrapes/oil about 300 feet from his bike.

The oil even got on my helmet somehow from his bike...

Glad to hear your injuries were relatively minor. Insurance will sort you out buddy. Gorgeous bike by the way.

Dude, so sorry for your loss. As others have said, the bike can be fixed or you'll get a new one. Sometimes it's tough to fix the human body so I'm glad you're ok. This guy sounded like a complete idiot...

As I've heard over the years, dress for the crash and not the ride.

Wear your gear. I have a little rash on the left hand where my Alpinestar glove broke open, some on the elbow where the Joe Rocket coat split as well.

Wow, the helmet took a hit and I got my bell rung pretty good as I was seeing stars and got the wind knocked out of me pretty good.

Learned my lesson, don't ride in front of people that are reckless on bikes.

Was hit from the back left side by a 09 Yamaha R1. He must have accelerated as we were slowing down for a turn as I was hit hard by the front of his bike. For him to knock me off the bike and hit it from out under me on a straight stretch must have been plenty of force.

Really pissed off because the other dude really shouldn't be out there as he has wrecked multiple bikes on the track and road.

Well, left side took all it it from what I could tell before the tow truck took it.

Swingarm, Tank, all fairings and upper, rearset, entire clip on assembly, etc., rear, left Termi can, etc...list goes on...

Too much and that's if the rear subframe, and other big parts aren't tweaked.

So depressing. A lot of heart into the bike.
yikes sorry to hear about your spill, hope you have a quick recovery for you and your bike. and +1 on the reckless rider behind you some people should either ride alone or not at all!
