The down-changing issue might be eased if you give it the rev-matching 'blip' of the throttle during the down change.
Riders coming from a 4-cyl bike are often not in the habit of doing this. You shouldn't have to do this as much with the slipper clutch, but just try it. Yes, the clutch fluid needs to be bled often on these to ensure full disengagement - including at the master cylinder itself where a small amount of air will accumulate. If the problem persists in spite of the above the gearchange mechanism may need to be centred, which involves removing the LH engine case. I hope you find a solution for your issues and get to enjoy your bike. A period of running-in and accustomisation will undoubtedly help. |

it all sounds normal and as far as the headlight goes make sure that the rear services cover is on correctly they all do that.

I vaguely recall something about an updated shift mechanism for the false nuetrals. might want to check with the dealer.

1. right on with tach, will even out after first TPS reset on your First Service Interval.
2. you need to remove the bulbs and dry out the headlight compartment - check the outside humidity and ensure it is at the lowest point, below 20%. 3. clunkiness of downshifts can be eased by blipping the throttle on downshifts, but you maybe experiencing the clicking at the clutch handle and just think its at your foot. Also, +1 on turning DTC and DQS off. Much more fun. If you get false nuetrals on the DQS, you need to hit it harder. maybe install some aftermarket rearsets and adjust so your foot fits just right in a comfortable range of movement. |

I agree with Pat and Mr T, you need to "blip" the throttle on down shift and your problem will go away. I do it without thinking but changing your habits might take some time. Watch the WSBK riders, they make it look easy
