don't think it's quite double? still expensive in aus but we're used to it.

base model with ABS is $28K
S with ABS is $35K
Tricolore w ABS is $42K

I think for an extra $5K (or $7K in aus) the S is the pick of the 3 unless you must have the tricolore paint.

Over the base model the S gets the light forged wheels which would cost you around $3-4K to buy, and the suspension on it's own would cost you way more than $7K for the forks and rear shock. so you get at least $10K worth of gear not even mentioning the other little bits like LEDs etc.

on the other hand the tricolore with termi slips ons and the DDA stuff is not so great value.

You can buy the titanium termi's for your S for less than $2K and the DDA upgrade with GPS etc is apparently only $600. yes you don't get the tricolore paint scheme (which I agree looks fking awesome) but you'd have around $5K in your pocket if you buy an S and put on the termi's and the DDA upgrade and just live with the paint scheme. so you're basically paying $5K for the tricolore pain scheme (which is by no means a rip, just need to decide if you really want that scheme). if you just want termi's and DDA then just buy them for an S.

either way it looks like it'll be one hell of a motorsickle.

can't wait to see and ride one.
