New models are being viewed in Rome Bob so hopefully we'll hear something! The words from a man who's seen it?? "The most stunning thing I've ever seen & that's not because I'm biased for Ducati"!!!

Do we think it will look much different than the current Panigale?

About $65,000.00 worth of difference! Must be a California thang.

Haha, I get that feeling everytime with the Desmo Bob...it's jaw achingly beautiful & laughs at you however hard you push it...I told the mrs it was better than sex...big mistake that!!
Our friend Zoot called earlier & he'd spoken to his man about it...I was grinning when he told me what he'd said about it & have been since...can't wait to see it! I can choose which dealer I "allow" to facilitate my new purchase...very nice of them! We're going to have a day out to JHP, who are friends of Zoot's, to arrange this as soon as I get the nod!

Dang Moly, please fly my bike and yours truly across the pond, so I can go!!! Just between us, please, never ever compare your bike to your significant other!!! Even though some us understand the comparision... hell, it ends very quickly and ugly!! I have been married, (to the same women), and raced for 45 years!!! ( I know of what I speak!!!!)

It did end very ugly mate...I've not had sex since !

Same women? You have several?? Not sure if that's a good thing or not!! Well if you're ever coming over here let Zoot or myself know & you can enjoy some Northern hospitality mate!

I eager to see it and it's real specs. A slightly revised bore-to-stroke ratio could be just what is lacking in this "diamond-in-the-rough!"

Yeah I saw it's probably got the superbike forks and to notch goodies but I'm guessing the body will be identical. I was hoping for something different like the desmosedici vs the 1098. But I guess the tie to world superbike rule changes may make it look completely the same.

I see more like the difference between 1098 and 1098R. Which was a bunch. More than, in my view, the money, as it was holding the WSBK homogulation rule book. Different frame, cases, clutch, rods, valves, cams, injectors, etc. Then a whole bunch of carbon gizmos....... Still a nice "R" version from Ducati. I dare say the 1199RL(?) will be much, much, more.

The Desmo RR was unrelated to the 1098. That's why it was different. It was a race replica of the GP bike. This is a race replica of the superbike.

Nothing in the superbike rulebook will have any bearing on this model. It's going to look like the wsbk bike because that's the intention..

Moly, if I make a trip to the UK, what's the chance that you'll let me ride this new bike at Silverstone or at least Donington Park?
