That's because you have that GB mount that costs a bomb.

What is the GB mount? Links?

I found that pic in another post but not sure of which setup he's using.

It's the FG Gubellini Ergal Steering Damper with mounting kit.

For the non Evo 848 it comes with a bracket that attaches to the trellis frame as you can see from that pic. Similar to what the 848 Evo has from factory.

If you are going the Speedymoto clamp route and want an Ohlins damper you can get the very same mount as the Dan Kyle one from Nick at Motowheels for MUCH cheaper. It is a Corse Dynamics bracket.

Good to know! Any reason for that left grip to be spaced out so far?

Very interested in this topic. So what was your total shipped?

PS... I am 40 and been riding for 8 yrs. Love my 2011 848 EVO, but have the exact same complaint - with a pack - too low, too painful.

To be honest I don't remember the final cost. But if its $350 with 10% off (for being a ducati.org member) thats $315+Shipping so I'd guess around $320-$325ish?

It's funny, I ride 90% of the time with a pack on my back and yesterday was the first time I rode without one in about a month and it felt like I was missing something (almost like trying to drive knowing your seatbelt is off) haha although it made TONS of difference on my wrists.

I should have it in 2-3 weeks tops, I'll be sure to take pics of the install and give a short review on the effects of raising the bars 20mm.

Another question to those (DIY) who have already upgraded: How long (approx) did it take?
