Hi SBK,

Just to help you out here. Yes, some of them require cutting the stops. Mine do not, however do not come with stop provisions. You have the option of drill/tap for stops or simply place tabs where the triples would make contact(as most riders/racers do).

I can't speak for any other manufacturers, but this would be common geometry: At 28mm offset, you should not have to remove your fans. You may have to pull the oil rad back a bit for clearance, especially if using race slicks on 16.5" wheels. Below 27mm offset and said race wheels/tires you must relocate the oil rad back a bit. Below those numbers, you may have to modify further, however I have a customer running 25mm offset on his 1098 and I believe he still has his radiator fans on, though modified the location brackets and moved the oil rad too.

I personally am running the 27mm offset on my 999 with no mods to the radiator locations of either, though I am running 23.5* rake and have raised my bike about 15mm, increasing my clearance levels against my street tires(Bridgies BT-016).

I hope this helps, and if there is any other questions, feel free to contact me.

IMA makes great stuff, you can't go wrong with them either.
