Default Any tried Saddlemen seats?

Looking at

Saddlemen Gel-Channel Tech Seat: 848/1098/1198

and

Saddlemen Gel-Channel Sport Seat: 848/1098/1198

I like the price and am looking for something a little more comfortable than the OEM seat.

Had one on my '08 CBR 1000rr - LOVED IT. Expensive, though. Still, anything is better than the stock, vinyl covered dinner plate that Ducati puts on these bikes. Might also consider Sargent. That's what I've got on my 848 EVO. Little cheaper than the Saddlemen's.

These look good, anyone know seat height compared to stock?

Are there any aftermarket seats that are more comfortable than OEM while not increasing ride height? For us vertically challenged folks who would like a bit more comfort?

I just ordered the Saddleman Gel Tech as it had a lot of good reviews and for the $220 and free shipping, I thought I'd give it a whirl.

I bought the Teck. Best seat I have had. I've tried the stocker, DP, & Sargeant. The DP was nice but it was fugly & will mark up your tank if you don't 3M it. The Teck has gel inserts & a grippy material - you slide to the tank a bit under hard braking but not even close compared to stock or the Sargeant. Best seat & a good price in my opinion.

Patrick - that is the ebayer I got my seat from as well.
