Hello all, I've been a follower of this forum for a while and finally made the jump to join. The other day I finally bit the bullet (with a gentle nudge from my amazing wife) and put some money down on a '13 Corse SE. The local dealership is slated for two and I'm the first on the list...however a deal I made with my better half is that I cannot take delivery of the bike until after we go to England on vacation (which isn't happening until March). So...April it is and it's going to be a very long wait for me until then. Thankfully we recently received orders from the flat, nothingness of the Florida coast to Central CA. Holy cow! There are all kinds of amazing places to ride here...and I can't wait until I can take advantage of having such a capable bike as the Duc. My current ride is a ZZR 1200 that I use for just about everything...from commuting and touring, to canyon carving on my weekends. I love the Zed (such an underestimated bike here in the states), but it's never been the bike of my dreams. Thankfully, I'm at a place in my life where I can afford to make that dream a reality... Life is best enjoyed on two wheels!! Cheers! |

You are absolutely right, the wait is going to kill you. Every day will test the limits of your sanity. Each time you drive on a nice curvy road you will only be reminded of the 848 and how you don't yet have it. It will absolutely drive you insane. I'm actually in between rides right now, and the weather is so perfect today I can't even fathom why anybody would not be riding their Ducati. It's just so amazing to be able to touch, feel, and ride such an amazing machine whenever I want to. Hope that helps a bit

Glad to hear you found one of the good one's to marry. My wife let me buy my Dream bike this year(12' Corse). I just hope your wife says cool, after you end up riding your Italian Hottie more than her.
If your really lucky she will melt everytime you pull up to the house ,like mine does.![]()

Where in England are you going? I live in London and ride an 848 too... And if it makes you feel better I had to wait a whole year for my bike! It was unbelievably hard but Its almost worth it, when you ride that bike for the first time....aaaah.

A year? Yeah, fuck that. Just wanted to chime in again and let you know how perfect it is out today. Gona hop on the beautiful, amazing, awesome Ducati motorbike in my garage and go out for a ride. God it's so perfect outside today.
