Default On the road again.......

Put a new battery in my 91' 851 today. It had not been started in over a year. I opened the tank..... fuel smelled fine thanks to the octane booster I put in it. Turned the key and it fired right up, sounding great. Now to change the oil , check the belts, change brake and clutch fluid, and check tire pressure....... I will be back on the road again.

nice work, best you change the fuel filter and put fresh fuel in it though mate.
the fuel pump is getting on a bit and the old filter may restrict flow too much causing the pump to fail, my 888 let me down repeatedly due to a weak pump and the slightest restriction in the filter, fixed now, of course!

I did drain all the old gas and replaced it with fresh gas. Turned the key...... heard the fuel pump working...... pressed the starter button.... the bike started..... the fuel pump quit..... so did the bike. New pump and filter on the way to me. This is the third new pump I have purchased for my Ducatis this year. The pumps went out on my 750 Sport and 750 Paso also.......

You really gotta love what this fuel w/ alcohol is doing to all of our fuel systems, I have replaced more fuel pumps in the last year then in the 30 years previously...really sucks
