Ohlins forks???

Does anyone know if ohlins FG43 forks will work on a 998? My stock forks are about 29 in. in length and the FG43 are about 30 in. Does this matter? Will they work as long as I have the correct triple clamp? Need some help with this. I know very little about suspension and setup, so please help.

I don't think the length will matter as much as the associated caliper mounting etc. unless you have clearance issues above the top triple clamp.

Is that unweighted length or weighted length?

Good points brett. The stock forks are on my bike and are 29in. The ohlins are not on a bike and are 30in.
