Had the bike for about 6 months...It's a 2002 and currently has ~5,7XX miles on it (had about 5,000 miles when I bought it). The previouse owner low sided and stopped riding so it basicall sat in his garage and was collecting dust. He was asking $4500 and we struck a deal at $2750.

The lower fairing on the left side had some major scraps and the left side front turn signal was cracked, but other than that the bike looked to be in a pretty good shape.

Picked it up and been playing with it on weekends and now that I'm finally done with messing with it, wanted to share some pics of the mods I've made.

In addition to all the standard maintenance items, including belts and aluminum fuel sensor nut, I've made some cosmetic mods (LED front and rear lights/turn signals, keyless gas cap, barend mirrors, wrap the lower side fairings, recovered the seats, CF front fender).

Was nervous about drilling holes in the perfectly good front fairing, but what the heck, went ahead with it anyway

Looks good! How do you like the handle end mirrors? Work better than the stockers?

Love the bar-ends! I couldn't see much more than my arms and shoulders with the stock mirrors...

Made it from scratch using Radio Shack LEDs and caps. Found the LED holders (the black ring around the LEDs) on fleabay for like $10 for a bag of 100.

My next mod will be to make a license plate light using a single white LED and the same plastic holder.
