Might even put an order down as early as next week!

Anyone in the market for a Kawasaki Ninja 250R? :P
should also mention the guys at northside are all really pleasant to deal with and no superiour attitude like you get at a lot of bike shops in sydney.

They have been licenced ducati dealers for at least 1999 (I have the 99/00 ducati dealers book), frasers were in it too though so they are certainly long time ducati sellers also.

seriously at least give northside a look. I've had nothing but good experience there inlcuding having my gf's scooter serviced, buying tyres, buying a bike, and some other small transactions.

The owner their (Carl) is very accessible and I've found he does go the extra mile.

don't get me wrong, I've nothing bad to say about frasers. I know they have been in the business a very long time too and also long time ducati dealers. but I can only speak to my recent experience with northside and it was great. To be honest I don't think they had much legal obligation in my case but they certainly had a moral obligation and they stuck to it 100%. I was not out of pocket 1c, and honestly if they'd had a bike I wanted I would have bought another bike from them in a second.

they were also very willing to give test rides (not like some places who make you feel like it's a big fking imposition for them and that you should just buy a bike without riding it).

anyway, enough gushing dealer love from me. point is I would trust them 100% and every transaction I've had with them has been great.

to be honest, when buying used I nearly always buy private if I can. but with new you have to go to a dealer somewhere...

you're right that NF Importers (lol NFI) are the aus ducati importer/distributor and they are part of frasers group. they have been the aus distributor as long as I can remember.

anyway, good luck with the purchase. I'm sure you'll love it.

Well I got a call from David from Frasers and he was more than happy to chat with me but seeing as though I'm at work booked in to see him on Saturday. One of my mates dads is a Mr Cox at Frasers also so I might have a chat with him and see what we can work out.

Northside sounds great and if I ever have a issue without be sure to have a chat with them. By the sounds I've done the right thing looking at about $22,000 for the Evo.

yeah price at northside is $21,900 for the 848 EVO. I'm sure you'll be happy either way, but if you're in sydney you'd be made to travel all the way to the gone before checking out the local sydney dealers. I know northside have at least one 848 EVO in there (red), I saw it a few days ago. very nice.

Yeah as do Frasers, they look great but I'm after the white one, so it's a 8 week wait for me!

Absence makes the heart grow fonder and all that!

well at least 8 weeks brings you pretty close to full licence. be awful having it arrive before you can legally ride off on it into the sunset.

8 weeks is pretty much on par with when I get my licence, I will probably have it after I get it, I won't be riding it without owning the proper licence, I have enough will power to know one stupid mistake and insurance won't cover any damage I or someone else does to it!

So no riding for me for 8 weeks just to make sure I don't run the risk of losing it! :P

How can you wait 8 weeks I had to wait 48 hours from wandering in the shop to riding home and that was too long.
Chances are they wont let you ride off on it without a license anyway a mate brought a GS1200 without a full license and BMW delivered it to his house 120kms away they wouldn't let him pick it up.

Yeah that's fair enough and I totally understand that, I've heard the same stories.

By the looks I'll have my licence by time of delivery, worst case they can deliver it or shine it every day until I get my blacks! :P

Get them early April so timing will be perfect!
