Default Purchasing a Ducati in Sydney

Sponsored Links
Hey guys how are we all, hope the weekend has been good!

Planning on buying an 848EVO in the upcoming months, just wondering what your thoughts are as to what dealer to go with when finally forking out the cash, after a few test rides on the rest of the 600-850cc range of course!

Only two I really know of are Fraser Motorcycles and Northside Motorcycles.

Heard pros and cons about either store but thought it would be a touch wiser speaking to people who have actually owned and dealt with either or any other dealers that they can vouch for!

Any tips and tricks on how to deal with them would be much appreciated too, not really looking for money off the bike as I know I'm buying a Ducati and it's like walking into a Ferrari dealership and trying to get them to knock money off a 458 Italia... Maybe first service free or anything along those lines!

Much appreciated guys and gals!

Good luck with the discount on the 1st service concept. In my experience it boils down to which dealership is keenest for your business. U should be able to get 12 months on road and a modest discount from list price.

If yr really brave u can always check out the "grey market" parallel importers where u will be offered ridiculous discounts on the local street prices. However, parting with yr cold hard readies based on what dribbles out of someone's mouth has usually been a risky endeavour.

Should u travel down the grey market path, u will be well advised to save a bit for a trip to the doctor's for some sleeping tablets, to keep a lid on the paranoia while u twiddle yr thumbs for the 6-8 weeks wait, after you have parted with the cash.

If u do go the route of the grey market, u can more than likely kiss yr warranty goodbye,

Cheers and good luck.

make the effort and go to Frasers at Wollongong see Mitchell tell him Warren Hayes recommended him , you will get a good service and more personal service.

Fraser Wollongong is far more personal and Mitchell has been in the game for a long while and knows what he is talking about, your bike will be pre delivered by Steve Pryor one of the best Mechanics that works for Ducati

I know it sounds like a lot of screwing around but its will be worth effort in the end

there is no dealer in Sydney that I would deal with and I have brought 6 in recent years

and Krisso sorry would not touch a grey import the specs are not the same as an OZ model

I wouldn't ever buy a brand new Ducati again.

reckon I'd buy a lower mileage second hand one, and look Australia wide.

Theres some good buys out there.

I've been dealing with Mitchell, Kat, and Steve for many years now. Have bought quite a few Ducati's off them and so have a few friends as well (including piece of shit Harley's - not me of course).
