Default New to the Ducati world

Hello, Nick here
wanted to take a minute and introduce myself, I'm currently living in Houston, TX moved here from NY about 1.5 years ago.. just picked up my first Ducati last night its a 2008 1098 yellow.

previous bikes in order i owned them...

04 cbr600rr
07 cbr1000rr
06 busa still have it in CT
07 gixxer 1000
07 aprilia RSV1000r factory
11 bmw S1000rr
08 ducati 1098

You may hate it at first if you've never ridden a twin, and it sounds like you've been in the I-4 camp for a long time. Stick with it for a few weeks and you'll come to appreciate being under 10k rpm and still having power. Definitely will take some getting used to though... don't overrev it once you feel the power flattening out; that just means it's time to shift.
