Ducati Bicycles

Hey!

Just a quick post about Ducati Bicycles.

There was a plan in 2011 to introduce a new line of Ducati Bicycles (Made in France) to the US. Somehow, it never really came to this. However, about 100 Ducati bicycles of that line made it to the USA. As you cam imagine, they are very hard to find and almost unique.
Attached is a picture of my Carbon Fiber Ducati Road bike.

If anyone should be interested, a rest of the 2011 bicycle range is available at original Dealer cost (!!) - shoot me a message and I can tell you what models and sizes (+prices) are available.

Curious as to where Ducati sourced the frame-sets from. Pinarello? Colnago? Or perhaps just a chinese order carbon frame?

As far as I know, the frame production was - and still is - in the hands of Bianchi. However, there is no sign or label of Bianchi on the bikes anymore. The old bikes still had that.
The actual range of bicycles can be found under Ducati Bicycles - Ducati Bicycles. However, the distribution is only to France. The bikes that came to the US are quite similar to the 2012 lineup with mostly identical technical data.

Cheers.....Bill

Hey Bill!
Ducati has a Dura Ace equipped bike in the actual line up. It's called Factory Corse. It retails (in France) at 4999 Euro.
Unfortunately, a bike with the Dura Ace group never came to the US. The top of the line bike available here is the bike that is shown in the picture. It's the Factory R and has Carbon fiber frame, fork, handlebar and seat post. It also features a complete Ultegra group. Retail was $3499 and is available at dealer cost ($2429, shipping is ~$45). Sizes available are 54 and 56 cm.

Damn I'd love to have that Factory R, but at 6'5" I need at least a 61cm frame.

Here's my current motorless bike:

Very nice bike!
Yeah - sorry - for your size a 56 cm frame is definitely too small.
The only bike available with a 61 cm frame would be a Factory S - which features an aluminum frame with carbon fork and 'only' a Shimano Tiagra group.
Your bike in the photo looks higher class - so the only reason to get this would be a 'collector-aspect'....since it says "Ducati" on it....

I forgot to say - a Factory R in 58 cm is also available - but even that is too small for you...

Bummer.......if a 55cm was available I'd probably make the purchase. It'd be a nice unique addition to my collection.
Cheers.....Bill

Sorry Bill! You'll have to blame Ducati as they decided to go with the even numbers. In the 2011 line up, a 55 cm was never built!

Larryb,

Thanks for the info, yes my Cervelo is all carbon with Rotor crank and ultegra components. But, I'd consider the Factory S as I could use it for training and bad weather plus to have a Ducati branded bike would be so bad ass

Are you a dealer? I get down in your area occasionally as my company has a few stores in the Baltimore area (Justcabinets Furniture & More) and I'd love to see one of these beauty's in person.

Hey,
I totally understand wanting to have a Ducati bike - I couldn't resist either!
No - I am not a dealer. I am just a Ducati fan and know the one who imported the stock of those bikes. Thus, I know what is available and am helping to get those beauties to the right persons that appreciate a DUCATI bicycle.
I do have the Factory R and plan on getting more bikes.
If you'd be interested in seeing the one I got, we can definitely arrange something!
Let me know!

Does he have one available and if so what's the price as I'd love to have myself a Ducati bike for the wall if I could afford it

"...and 'only' a Shimano Tiagra group." Ha, it's ok you don't have to give Tiagra so much credit.
