Winter breakdown 2017

Well work has officially begun. Day one and two not a lot of progress on the actual bike.

I'm healed enough that I'm in full OCD. I finally moved one of the overhead racks so I could put the lift at full height, I also had to reposition the stand for the bike.

Spent a lot of time cleaning up, organizing the garage, getting the items I'm assuming I won't be using stored.

Short list of to dues

Disassemble bike to the frame. (Need to verify the left side rear set tab is bent or not).

Verify any other possible damage, stop tabs, clipons etc.

Will be putting the bike into track mode so it will be nice to use my track accumulated parts while leaving street items off the bike.

I will be installing a new wire harness off of a corse with ecu, and new rotors for traction control. If I find a quick shift I'll be adding that as well.

Also have a Leo Vince exhaust.

Things that must / should be replaced are levers and rear sets. Both are eBay Chines specials that will cost me a whopping $130. I only need the left side, they are still functional just scraped up. But they are cheap enough to splurge.

My rhino barend and CRG mirror have minor scrapes but I don't need the mirror (for now) and the barend is.. meh fine.

The turn signal doesn't work right when I take it off I'll see what going on it's something to do with the button depressing for right signaling.

And of course check and clean everything.

If things go well I might consider addressing the front shocks and the rear link.

Lastly I should have the blue print motor back from the Ducshop once I start assembly.

Ok I got good news on the blueprint engine, along with another good PT (physical therapy) session my shoulder and arm are coming along. Been busy, but put in a few good hours last night I felt motivated.

My rebuilt engine will be here Tuesday, I'll list out what was done. So time to strip her down to the frame to make room for the engine. Nothing wrong with the current EVO but it's not beefed up like the incoming.

I took a bunch of picture along the way it's helpful if I get stumped along the way. I'm not marking things this time I think I've got this

HealTech make a nice and easy stand alone quick shifter that won't break the bank. Bazzaz does also but it's a bit more dough for the same trick. Have fun.

Forgot to post this last night. For those of you who don't use a chain guard, the added benefit is it catches a lot of the grit.

I can't believe how much considering I had not had a lot miles since last cleaning and I don't ride in the rain unless caught.

I was asked by a member to post some pics of the rear shock/spring set up when installed.
