TBS, an adjustable ride height rod(PodRac ) will give the ability to drop the rear, but as you mentioned, the front must come down too. Since the seat is in the middle of the bike(roughly), your lowering relation is only a percentage of the actually amount at the lowering point. If you drop the rear, I've found it's about a 70% relation of the amount lowered at the rod/linkage. The front is closer to well.... 30%ish. So taking this into consideration, the amount you lower the bike has to conform to the bikes window of versatility. just going the same on both ends may result in a bike that does not handle well at all. So be cautious in your endeavors. I would be willing to help anyone out that needs it.

What Adjustable Ride Height Rod should I get? I would like to lower 1 or 2 inches just for the drag strip. Heres a link.
RIDE HEIGHT ROD: BLACK (LG) - CHASSIS & SUSPENSION - RIDE HEIGHT RODS - Performance Accessories For Your Ducati

That said, if you plan to drag the bike, make sure you gear it properly for the 1/4, but in a way that allows you to get the swingarm back as far as possible as you will have a very flat angle. Get the front down, but also make sure you strap it down.

Sport Rider Suspension Tuning Guide-Dialing It In Be warned though... a proper drag setup is going to ruin the handling for both track and daily riding; you know, the stuff 1098 was intended for. If you ask me you're wasting a high-end track bike on a style of racing more suited to a Hayabusa, but to each his own. Even fully set up you're never going to beat the 1300 Suzukis and Kawi ZX14s in the 1/4 because twins just don't make enough power. I say spend your money on full Ohlins and riding lessons, then embarrass those overpowered Jap tubs around a track.
