Got some Termi carbon slip ons for my 848 and the lower metal bit (not sure if aluminium or steel) that's welded to the pipe has quite a few marks on. I understand they all come like this. Anyway, anyone any ideas how to improve them? Just spoils the overall look. Cheers.

its stainless steel....you can sand the scratches out with 100, then 200, then 500 grade wet and dry, then finish it with a fine wire brush.
'Wire brush?' you ask Yes, believe it, that will finish it off nicely, trust me

If you use one of those green scourers in a rotary motion around the stainless pipe you will get a good finish.
I spray a little CRC or WD40 and rub the scourer around the pipe. It brings them up like new. |
