The tacks on the road, the rough first week, the dopers, Wiggins sounding like Bernard Hinault - telling Froome he'll help him win a tour in the future, the USADA charges against Armstrong. I can't believe the farce this year has become. It's the silly season of tours...

Yep. Tomorrows stage is mostly ceremonial. Barring anything unforeseen and crazy, Wiggins will take the victory in what has been a more controversial, and frankly, boring TdF. The guys that added some energy, IMO, were Sagan and Cavendish. Hopefully, next year there is less drama off the road and more attacking in the mountains. I didn't see many guys trying to take time out of their rivals - just clipping along. The usual breakaway suspects - Voeckler, Vino, Voigt (my hero), and teams that were out of it trying to get some TV time.

Good for Wiggins, sorry for Cadel and Froome. On another team he would have had a shot. Such is the life of a super domestique...

As far as tomorrow, GO CAV!!!

I liked the way Wiggins didnt just beat everyone in the timetrial, he put another minute or so on them! Shows how strong he really was especially compared to Cadel who has faded badly.

Agree with all your comments there EFE, thanks for the running expert commentary. Its been great.

Off to the Olympics then. Be an interesting addendum.

That has to be some of the most bizarre rationale for a court decision I've ever heard.

I think this is going to come down to the UCI vs. the USADA. Who has more authority over athletes? Does the governing body within the individual country our the organization that oversees the sport. It's interesting that if you look at the Contador case, the opposite happened - the Spaniards were ready to slap him on the wrist, but the UCI intervened and they relented. Too many cooks spoil the stew... To Eric's point, if they want you they're going to get you.
