Question Indianapolis MotoGP 2012 - Aussie coming over

Gidday, The missus and I are flying over to the USA for a holiday next year and the deal is she gets to go to the US Open and I get to go to the Indianapolis GP. Can I get some advice about what to do and see, where to stay and what tickets to buy for the GP or anything else. After that we are off to take in the other well known sites in America.

Cheers

Hyatt is pretty nice down town. We camp every year now and it's a blast! Make sure you get paddock passes! Free beer free food and you can meet all the riders!
And officials that loves pictures lol

Edit: photo on the bricks!

Paddock girls!

Sorry Indy was a blast! Can't wait for 2012 Indy GP. Don't forget the paddock pass lol. Oh and buy the Ducati tickets, for about 50 extra you get a free shirt hat and free Indy stuff. Can't beat it.

The Hilton in Indy is really nice. I stay there every year for the supercross at lucas oil stadium. I live about 2.5 hours north west of indy. Let me know if you need anything as well.

All of the hotels downtown seem to be booked. We have been trying for months to get a room, no luck.

I guess there is another function going on the same time as the race.

If anyone knows of a hotel downtown, let me know. I do not want to stay outside of the city as I like to walk to the bars @ night...
