Nar thats not right if you have the full system you should have no surging. When i fitted the full system it made it a different bike. You must have the wrong ecu.

Ditto i put the full system on my pikes peak for the reason they can "trim" that ECU so i dont have to mess with power comanders for once

Bike runs like a dream !!

bike Needs to be set up on a dyno and propably re tuned every 12ish-24ks as its open loop but it sound to me like your dealer doesnt know what they are doing.
dont let a bad dealer ruin the experiece of what has all the ingredients of being a magic bike

I wasn't going to respond in this forum but some of the replies are so far of the mark I couldn't resist. I have had my Multi for 12 months and 16000kms and it is a true lemon. I have all the problems of the guy who started this thread. I have the full Termi as well. I have had it to the local dealer. I have taken it to the Australian distributor in Sydney and they could do nothing. They wiped their hands. I threatened to lodge a complaint to Consumer Affairs and that got them back on the problem. Ducati Italy wrote a new map that was supposed to fix the problem. It cleaned up most of the surging issues but then the stalling started. I am now going down the Power Commander and Optimizer track and it has real issues. I could keep going about the crap rear brake and poor panel fit but I don't want to start another discussion.

If I hadn't invested so much in this bike I would burn it.

Baldy Thats got me stumped as i just about live on mine for comuting scratching whatever and its the smoothest best alrounder ive had. ive done 8500+ks since early november 11. id reckon id know 10 other guys with them and they rave about them for versatility and rideability and never met anyone face to face thats had a real issue with this bike.

Have you had previos experince with dukes or big twins?

There is a technical bulletin out on the rear brake. Think it has been kept quiet here in Aus. Will post it later. Going to raise it this week with Ducati City in Melbourne.

Agree with the other comments. Full system should have the DP ECU and filter. Needs to be dyno'd......

I have the std exhaust with the termi slip on. The stalling reprogramme was not done at pre-delivery but has been now. Seems they missed the 830 recall notice.

I assure you all updates have been done. Everything has been installed to suit the full termi. It been on the dyno more times than I care to mention. The rear brake has had the upgrade and softer pads installed. I don't know why you would worry about ABS brakes on the rear you couldn't lock it up if you were Godzilla. Makes Harley brakes look fantastic.

IMHO it is more about the amount of travel and the feel.

Spoke to mechanic today... before they do the work as per the tech bulletin they try a rear brake bleed, adjust the travel on the pedal. If that doesn't work they do the tech bulletin. No cost to owner..

Here's my take on the rear brake.
1. Not the worst rear brake I have felt, that title would belong to my 08'Triumph Sprint ST ABS. Fred Flintstone would have a better chance of stopping that pig with his feet then the rear brake.
2. Ever feel the travel on the BMW 1200 GS, a long way down to stop and no complaints from BMW peeps.
3. I think they intentionally designed it that way for the off road aspect of the riding mode and overlooked the fact that most people bought the MTS as a comfortable Superbike and will never use it off road, thats why I bought one @47 a Superbike just is not comfy/practical for 3-5 hrs. in the saddle with panniers. Can you imagine a 1198 with panniers?

Ive had 5 dukes over the years they all have wooden rear brakes to a degree, who cares their only for tightening up mid corner who really uses them for coming to a halt!
