them on the head and asked them to do the job.
most of them are just trying to meet their quotas for
the month, that's the way they operate around here.

I suppose this is still going on. The real rip to the taxpayers, at least in NJ, is that their retirement salary is based on only the last two years of employment. So the Police work alot as in ALOT of overtime to build up the amount of money they will get after they retire.

Harm's way, indeed.
