The best MotoGP Indy seats???

Anyone been to MotoGP Indy and can tell me where the best seats are to get? I've heard right on the start line but not sure. Thanks in advance!

Off the top of my head...3 day general admission tickets are $75 while the 3 day reserved seat ones go between $100 and $150....you may want to take a look at the Red Bull Indianapolis GP site though....

Depends on what you want. I walked alot of the track last year and I personally wouldn't go for the start/finish line unless all you want to see is the 200mph straight.

My tickets were in the SW vista. $125 for the 3 days pass, motorcycle parking, free gift, and a complimentary lap on the track (Monday after the race). I liked those seats because you could see the bikes off the front straight and battling through turns 1,2,3,4 and then the acceleration around turn 5.

I also had friends in the J stands. Those seats were equally impressive with the 7 final turns before the straight and then hearing the bikes accelerate down the front straight.

I guess it depends on what your passion is. The straightaway speed or the technical turns. You can also get the GA ticket for $75 and find a nice spot along most of the fences and blow out an eardrum as the GP9 goes flying by.

Ducati also had the Mugello grandstand on the inside of turns 1,2 where you can see turns 1,2,3,4. You get to see the Ducati girls and Ducati island more regularly. Good seats, but you miss the acceleration of the straights. Those are also $125, but you have to be a DOC member.

I sat in the Corner 7 terrace, great view of T6, T7, T8 and T9 going into the back straight. But we had GA tickets, so we sat in a few different places for the practices. The front straight is GA, no special tickets required, and no matter where you sit, the are huge TV screens everywhere, so you shouldn't miss anything. We watched them fly by on the front straight during qualifying but sat in our seats for the race. Best of both worlds.

Oh, and get a hotel NOW! You can expect to pay around $150.00 a night, and don't take a trailer. We had a Suburban with a 20' trailer and had to pay big time for parking, we had to put the bikes on the trailer everynight to avoid paying for yet another spot.

Thanks guys! I was curious about the J stands. I'm not too interested in seeing the wide open speeds. I want to see the acceleration out of the turns.

I'll look at hotels now! Thanks for the advise.

Maybe I'll see some of you there.
