Speed channel buy-out

Heh, you guys might have a lot more to yell at next year.

Fox is going to be killing Speed channel. They haven't made any announcements yet on what they plan on doing, but because Speed has exclusivity on NASCAR and F1, they might integrate those programs into Fox Sports and leave Speed alone. However, Speed has been doing poorly financially for quite sometime and my guess is, if they are bought out by Fox, they will basically disappear, including the programming.

That might mean, no more motorcycle racing on speed.

For MotoGP, its not a big deal, there is a paid subscription service available. For world superbike its a huge deal because the Infront media service went down mid season 2009. Wether they turn that service back on again, is up to them.

Its a much bigger deal for viewers of AMA programming, dirt or tarmac, which is solely produced for Speed.

I would not give a shit if speed disappeared, and WSBK had a pay per view service set up on-line...

I'd be a happy camper... Throw some BSB on their, and we could call it a day...

Perhaps if they got rid of that huge toolbag Greg White with his stupid ass questions and comments fans might watch more Speed without mute on their TV.

Yeah, that's fine. Their coverage of Motogp stinks. I've been meaning to get the online subscription for years now. They fucked up when they started showing the ''unofficial results'' and stopped the podium press conferences.

And if I have to go without hearing ''Lorentho'' every two minutes, that's cool.

Isn't this the same Speed Channel that would cut out the last 3 laps of a tight race to air a couple twits talking about a Nascar race that happened 3 months back? No loss there.

Bugger - we get WSBK via Speed as well.

MotoGP is on two free-to-air channels, but WSBK is only on Speed.

Not happy..

don't have cable anyway, I just torrent all the races I want. Kinda hard to get the AMA ones unfortunately, but I can live without that as long as I have F1, MotoGP, and WSBK

WSBK is now owned by Dorna so it will have the same subscription as MotoGP.
