'07 1098S Tricolore - FOR SALE

2007 Tricolore. Termi system and original stock. DDA. Nothing added or taken away. Not a scratch on the bike and not ridden hard enough. Serviced at 700 miles and broken in on mountain roads. I'm not riding it enough to justify keeping it.

$23,500

1195 miles. NC title in hand. Bike bought and serviced at BMW-Ducati of Charlotte. Have all paperwork. I'll try to get pictures online, but it looks like every other Tricolore you have seen photos of.

Your asking price is to high. I can buy a new one for 20, 000 cash. You will only get no more than 20,000 for it sory to give you the bad news. Chicago cycle had two in stock and couldn't get rid of them. They said to come back in the winter when snows on the ground and put 20,000 cash on the table and they would make a deal. I have a desmosedici coming so i was just seeing how low they would go. That bike is worth 20,000 , or 21,000 new. I would keep it, you have to many miles on it anyway

I'd be interested in knowing what shops still have them on the floor besides Chicago. I've looked around the net and only been able to find one for $24,950.

I'll wait it out and if all else fails, I'll put some neons and fur on it with an extended swing arm.

Pro Italia had a used Tricolore with 500 miles*. I'm not sure what they sold it for but were asking $24K. Kelly's Blue Book lists the Tricolore for $17,470 trade and resale of $21,995. So, $20 to $21K may be a price that would move it.

Also, I think the Tricolore allocation has been pretty weird. Some dealerships got two new ones while other had a hard time getting one. For example, SoCal Ducati (where I got my in July) sold it to me for $26K OTD ('bout the price of an S with full system) but Pro Italia was having a hard time just getting one and actually sold it for ful OTD price (about $28K). But I don't think ever dealer still has one on their floors.

Just my opinion but for the price these bikes are selling, I won't bother keeping the mileage down. It may be worth hold on to it and then trading or consigned it for a the next bike/car instead of having to deal with tire kickers and hagglers, and just negotiate negative equity as a discount on the othe vehicle.

It'll be worth a lot more with some nitrous and an extension. Just wait.

Why not just keep it. From the garage you've got listed there it seems like it fits right in.

Thumbs up

These guys telling you it's not worth $22k is BS. There's a shop in Denver with a used one and I couldn't get them down from $26k. It's winter, so you'll always catch the occasional deal (I did), but don't let this be an indicator of pricing. Wait unitl the spring and see what they cost.... My two cents....
