VDST question

Ok, Now I have two Ducati's, I have a couple questions:

Will it work for two different types of bikes? 1198 and a Diavel?

is there a specific one I need to purchase for multiple ECU's? if so which one to specifically.

thanks!

As far as I know, the VDST is specific to one model of ECU, but will work on multiple bikes with that ECU. If the Diavel has the 5AM ECU like the 1198 it should work.
If not the Centurion Pro-Europe ($850) works on all Marelli ECUs (not just Ducati) and Siemens is in the works.
I have the Centurion and couldn't be happier with it.

That's how I see it as well.

But unfortunately the Diavel has a Mitsubishi ECU I believe and Diavel owners will have to wait for that

For lameshaft and Brett 63, technoreaserch has 3 options wich are......

1- base system for 1 ecu only (the one that you guys mentioned, only magnetti marelli)
2- pro (wich will do all ducatis with magneti marelli systems)
3- superpro (will do any bike)

I have the pro and can do 16m, 59 m and 5 am ecu's, it should be able to do seimens 696's but they have not come out with the cable to plug into the system.
I've been using this system for 3 years now and have had no issues with it.
The names I called them are not 100% the real names but you can have an idea of the different options they offer.

Idem with Brett about diavel.

Mitsubishi ECU? Damn I'm out of the loop.

Devimau-
The siemens cable is available now. I just called about 2 weeks ago.
They are still working on the maintenance icon reset portion of the software though.

Techno Research is horrible.. they're the same ones that came out with the Rapid Bike which was suppose to help with stalling issue on the Monsters (specifically the S2R1000). I wouldn't hold my breathe on anything they engineer other than the VDST.
