Does anyone know how to get the turn signals for a custom LED tail light to operate. I'm assuming there is an issue with the OEM Flasher relay on my 848 Evo, but I'm not sure where it's located on the bike. If anyone has any experience with this it would be greatly appreciated.

There isn't a actual flasher for the signals you can get to on your bike.
Also, what LED unit did you purchase?

anything that requires you to cut your factory wire harness to me it is not a good idea.

I bought this one even though it was a little expensive but it plug right into my factory wire harness

That's what I was afraid of, I went through all of that with the unit on my SFS, it will work, you just have to add 2 relays.
Moto Tuner has developed the light based on the standard wiring harness, Ducati's SF and I guess the 848's lighting is different, I believe instead of having the pos. blinking it has the negative.
With the addition of 2 relays, one in each directional you'll be able to make it work but I would suggest getting this as SJ mentioned http://www.customled.com/products/in...tail_light.htm
even though is more expensive, is 10X better, brighter, it even has a strobe 3 pulse brake safety signal, I have it on my 1198.
I'd suggest reselling the one you just got but if you're persistent let me know and I'll look around and see if I can get you the wiring instructions, you'll need a couple of relays, slim ones if you can get them.

I wouldn't be surprised if they're 16 or even 20.

As for Moto Tuner, anyone know where I can get that relay that creates those short "bursts" of light? I intentionally didn't cut off the bottom reflector off my license plate since I am planning to add a strip or two of red LEDs and hardwire it to my brake light. I would like to add the relay so when I do brake the light will flash 3-5 times. RadioShack doesn't carry stuff like this and I'm too lazy to search the web... lol

Hey Cerberus, how did you connect the stock turn signal and the integrated signal together? Did you just splice the OEM wire and tape it up or something else. Do you have any problems with the blink rate? Thanks

As far as I know those short bursts of light are made by a strobe bulb, not a relay, if that's what you're looking for you can get pretty slim clear strobe lights from JC Whitney.

I spliced it (you have to) and used solder and shrink wrap to connect the wires (probably 5min job or 15 if you're anal like me ). Absolutely no problems; however, if your batter voltage drops (low 12s) the turn signals will blink faster. I always keep my bike on the tender so this doesn't happen anymore.

True, but I think you can also get a relay (though not 100% positive). Strobe bulb would also be a simple (fastest) solution, but I don't want white (red would be the best since people will immediately think cop lights ).
