Default Handling ?'s

Had cbr600rr previously and could and would lay it over in a turn. Felt very confident. However with 1100 evo I just don't feel that confidence. Is it the geometry? Or in my head. Everyone tells me to carve the turns that the monster will stick.that it is very well suited for curves. Any thoughts or is it just me

I think you left your balls on your cbr. report back after you locate it.

the bars are higher on the monster, and does your bike have a steering stabilizer?
try clip ons and a damper (and get your balls back from your other bike?) and it should be just fine

Confidence is everything and good setup gives you good feel which in turn boosts your confidence. If the bike doesn't 'feel' right you will never be confident to push hard on it. When I changed from my 996 to the 1098 the bike had so little feel in comparison to the 996. I lost so much confidence it was embarrassing. Now I have sorted the geometry on it and it 'feels right' my confidence is returning.

Did you get the suspension adjusted for your weight ? Not sure how it is on the monster but on the 848 it way off coming out of the dealership. Made a huge difference for me (on the 848...)

i did notice the same thing coming from a zx6r to the hyper. the big thing i noticed was the flex. that flex scared me in corners. it was only really noticeable at higher speeds though. i just changed my riding position so my body is leaning more while the bike is more upright. i dont notice it anymore.

As long as they are 1x98 plates then you should be good to go.

I am coming up on a plate change myself, and I plan to stick with the OEM plates.
