2008 ducati 848 acceleration issue?

Hello, I am new to the forum. I am experiencing some throttle issue with the bike. It doesn't feel like it is accelerating like it use to. Before when I would accelerate the bike would accelerate very tightly, but now it feels a little delayed/ sluggish. I tightened the throttle cable a little and it didn't make a difference. The bike is currently at 12000 kms. Any suggestions?

Thank you.

if you were hard on your clutch for those 12,000kms your clutch may be slipping.

easiest way to check this is put it in 6th and accelerate. if the revs go up faster than your accelerating your clutch is slipping.

if you mean your rpm's aren't climbing the way they use to then it could be a dirty fuel filter or dirty air filter.

Just some things to look into. Some of the more seasoned fellers may have some other places to check

Highly doubt it's the clutch at 12000kms. Check the fuel filter

i had that on my hyper. first gear was the only gear that accelled nicely, 2nd on up felt sluggish 1/2 throttle to full throttle. took it in for the 7500 mile service and found the horizontal exhaust valve was too tight. vertical was tight as well, but not as bad. afterwards, the bike feels alot better.

Due for a service at that K' mark. Might find a valve clearance adjust / check might just be what you need.
