VDST questions

Anyone using the open model, if so, does it cover all new Ducati's? I have a 1098 and my buddy has a 696 Monster, so I'd prefer to spend the money on the shop version rather than a single model.

Also, would this basically take the place of the DP ECU in the event I changed out the exhaust for a 70mm version? I'm pretty well rehearsed with EFI Tuning in general, but new to Duc's.

I have the TechnoResearch VDSTS Pro Europe. It covers Magnetti Marelli for Ducati (all models) Aprillia, Moto Guzzi etc.

However, it doesn't allow you to flash an EPROM. It is a diagnostic tool that also performs some basic setting functions (TPS, trims).

I own the cheaper VDST specific to my ECU. One thing I thought it could do that it seemingly can't is adjust the idle. Am I doing something wrong? Can the idle be adjusted on an 848 with the VDST?
