Rather than Pink's... which I didn't find special other than waiting 2 hours for a hotdog, I would recommend The Hat for a Pastrami burger, Carney's for everything they have on the menu, and how can anyone have a complete LA experience without going to Philippe's for some double dipped French Dip sammiches? I prefer pork, lamb, beef, turkey, and ham, in that order.

mmm, yummy. But, best hot dog is the coney dog on sunset in west hollywood. It's a detroit style coney island like I used to eat as a kid. You will not find a better chili dog on the planet! except detroit!

Honestly... I like my CostCo hotdog just fine... and even the Italian sausage dog from Wienerschnitzel is great... as is their all beef Angus dog. Maybe I was just hungry that day.

go on foodnetwork.com to diners drive ins and dives and check out all the killer eats in the LA/OC area. Bring your spanner wrench because youre going to have to increase the preload on your rear shock...
