Termi Love

Heres a fairly new video (for those of you surfing YouTube) of the ridiculous sound coming from the termignoni system. I'm not sure if the bike in the video is the full 70mm or just the slip ons, but here it is in all it's glory, click here

It's similar to watching porn.

hey I should be getting mine late may early june (to bad I'll still be in iraq.) But the point is I wanna get the termi exhaust and I have been tryin to find it online but with no luck. anyone wanna point me in the right direction? now I really just want the sound. For a good sounding exhaust note do I really have to go full exhaust? Because with that you have to re-do the fuel map other wise it'll lean out the engine and could damage it? any in-site on this matter would be awesome.

I was told by the dealer that the slip on termis are loud and the full system sounds like "a pissed off lion". Now, since he told me that, I've periodically tried to make a sound like a pissed off lion just to try and get a feel for the note.

I'm guessing it's pretty close to the S4Rs with arrow pipes.

Does the 1098S come with full termi system (70mm) Peet?

I asked my dealer about getting a full system rather then slip ons...He said unless I am racing it there is no reason too. Having read that the full improves engine performance by 8% and the sound is probably insane should be reason enough....Right???

Sound over reason.

I've just come back from my test ride on the 1098S with full termi system. It sounds insane and have ordered the full system which will be fitted at the 600 mile service. As for the bike it truely exceeded my expectations by 200% I knew it was gonna be quick but that machine is something else entirely! Its a rocket ship and a very sexy one at that. Wheelies of the throttle in 2nd and 3rd (I didnt use 1st at all apart from pully away! too scary!) It was sooo fast and when I looked down and was only just over half way through the rev range and I opened it right up all I could see clearly was dead ahead where I was looking - all peripheral vision commpletely blurred. I ride a 748 and it was like riding a 400 on the way home. I love my 748 but the 1098S is pure lust and love and I am truly privileged to have one on order. A pissed off lion on crack about sums it up. Truely an awesome machine. MotoGP for the road! What the R and or the Desmodedici RR are like just staggers me. I'll stop rambling! Truely blown away....

That's awesome floydstar!!! Is it recommended that you wait till the bike is broken in before the full system is put on? can't wait to hear a 1098 with full system! I will make it my ringtone!

I don't think you need to wait till its broken in to put on a full system. The tricolor my bike comes with it out of the box.

+1 ... it's an "old wives' tale" that an open exhaust system will hurt the break-in. It just doesn't matter, unless there was no exhaust at all and the exhaust port on the head was wide open to the atmosphere.

Just following what the Chief Mechanic advised at the delaership - They also not to fit the Chip that comes with the full termi system unless I was going racing - something about dumping to much fuel in...? Can anyone shed any light on that? Thanks
