I ride mine every day to work and do mountain riding on the weekend. The middle section is getting pretty flat at 3,500 miles. I will probably be replacing it soon so in my case I will be needing new tires around 4,000 miles.

I get about 2k miles on a set of Corsa IIIs on an 848. Somewhat aggressive riding.

Wow... Let's see.. I got a nail in my 'original' rear (1098) at 800 miles when I picket up a nail, and the bike now has 6000 miles with the second.

So I've gotten 5200 miles out of an 'OEM' rear. About 60% commuting and 40% mountain riding (I ride hard, but safe.. I ball them up a little bit but nowhere near a trackday).

I never actually checked the tire model, but the tread pattern is the same.

Yep, burned up the middle of the rear in the Florida heat in about 2500.

Burned up the Fronts edges in the mountains at 3800mi. Way more satisfying.

I run 35-36 psi.

oh?
Another web-fella said it was shagged when I asked.
Since there is no tread on the side, I know not how to tell when it's gone.
