removing silencers and exhaust valve motor

Hi guys,

I have arrow slip ons and have just removed the silencers to see what the difference is compared to them not being installed.

I have also installed a Duc-ee exhaust valve system and removed the exhaust valve altogether.

Question is do I need to remap the bike after these modifications ??

The bike runs a bit rough but no more than what I am used too as far as 1098's go, perhaps just a bit louder and a bit more chunky.

I have just also installed new timing belts myself .
I am pretty handy on the tools and am enjoying working on my second 1098 myself.

Thanks in advance

You do not have to update the ecu with slip on's or the exhaust server valve removal.

With that being said it will run much better when you change the fueling. When I upgraded my exhaust the most noticeable part was the below 4000 rpm's power and smoothness. It was much easier to ride and felt much better.
