ride height/suspension baseline.

for a 2008 1098s.

All the threads i see on the ride height question tell you the max/min length for adjusting the rod, but i haven't seen a response that says what the shipped-from-factory position is. Even the owners and shop manual don't specifically state. Is it completely short? 2 threads showing? Something else?

I just got the bike back on the road last week, and before i start to adjust it from the prior owner who changed all sorts of stuff, i'd like to know what the baseline for the rear adjuster is, as well as the height of the Fork tubes in the clamps.

thanks in advance

According to the workshop manual of 1198:

Front forks: 243.2mm from the upper flat surface on the bottom yoke, to the top cap (excluding the adjusters) on the forks.

Rear suspension tie-rod: 166.7mm center to center (rod eyes).

Looking at a 1098 workshop manual draft it specs:
Front forks: 242.0mm
Tie-rod: 166.7mm
