Bulb Sizes in 848/1098/1198

are the bulb sizes in these 3 bikes the same? i am looking to purchase hids but idk my bulb size. i did a search and the 848 take a h11 but i cant find a definite answer for the 1198. The 1198 is what im really looking for but most things from a 1098 will work on a 1198
Thank you

Bulbs

Caveat Emptor about those brighter bulbs, I bought a set and they burned out after just a couple of hours of on time.

1098 = H11's ... I would assume all the bike share the same lighting components...

Edit: when I said "all the bikes" I meant all the 1098/848/1198 style bikes, that share the same headlight design...

The brighter halogens do burn hotter and there's been a few reported melted lens housings. The HID is the way to go. I got a twenty dollar H11 car set with the large ballasts off Ebay, one bad bulb, one bad ballast and the second ballast was wired the wrong polarity. After that though it's going on it's third season as my low beam and still working fine.

I got my HID set up from this guy: http://stores.ebay.com/BURKE-Moto-Pros Nice price, fast shipping, everything worked out of the box, and set up to plug and play for the 1098/1198/848. If you want no hassle at a great price get your HIDs from this guy.

No, I'm in no way affiliated with this seller. I'm just a very please consumer.

year 13 and that HID set is still going in the 1098.

However LED technology from early 2019 to present has been revolutionary. I've got my old 1998 ST2 stripped in my dining room (I have a very understanding female in my life to get away with two indoor ducati's) that I'm switching out almost everything to LED. I have the Hikari H3 high beam and a pair of Rigid Ignite pod lights mounted under the nose, waiting on a flush mount H1 for the low beam. T10 LED in license and headlight assembly. If this season goes well I'll swap the HID for more modern LED
