first hot ride on 1098s

Just completed a 300km ride today in 40-42 C weather (bloody hot) in Perth Australia. I found the bike much better than the 999 for underseat heat it was actually bearable. There is a fair bit of heat of the right side near the exup valve which does tend to heat up your leg and footrest. The bike performed perfectly, never missed a beat. I have only done 400km so have not really given it lots of revs but the torque is very impressive. The more i ride it the more i love it, you just look for corners as it just loves to fall into them.
Hope you are all enjoying your bikes.

Excellent to have had it for the long weekend. I'm sooo jealous. Have you ridden with others? What's the verdict?
