Shhhhh, don't tell my neighbours......
I go to work at 6:00am each weekday and don't have DB killers in place. Only had one neighbour sort of complain, said "Fed up getting woken up at 6:00am each morning but I had a Ducati once and know they are a bit noisy"

Funny thing is that I had at least 3 people in my street who have told me they love the sound in the morning and listen to me go down the street and out on to the highway and even use it to judge what time it is!

Be nice to your neighbours and they return the favour

I did get the DB killers and thanks for the info on the cans possibly splitting. The are virtually straight though themselves and reduce noise somewhat in the lower frequency range - too bad because that sounds nice. I doubt they would affect the mapping or provide any significant back pressure. If they had much effect they would be called baffles.

My advice is that unless you have complaints or an enforcement problem leave them out. Thanks to all who helped and had suggestions on this.

Do you still have the DB killers and are they for a 999S termi? I would be interested in them. Tired of my ears ringing even with ear plugs.

i could use a set of db killers for my 1098 termis too. any one willing to part with them.

skitty - are you still riding "loud"? no serious problems down east, unless someone's being obnoxious on a hardley and asking for trouble.
