i am sorta confused on the inputs about the BMW being a high maintenance bike, the Duc is not a cheap bike to maintain either. i will also think that the Ducati has shorter service intervals. comments welcome

The RR is cost effective at first but then you realize the "extras" are not included; and they are( according to sport rider magazine) :Optional extras.

Race ABS.
Race ABS plus DTC Dynamic Traction Control.
HP Gearshift Assistant.
Anti-theft warning system with remote control.

If you want a track bike to

beat the crap out of look for a used 1098s. Minimal money will get any mods done.

Those are only options on the "base" bike. They are already included in the "premium" package (minus the alarm but who needs that at the track?) The bike he is looking at already includes this stuff. Great deal IMO.

I would get the BMW or the R1 myself.

My correction,.. DES said the BMW is the "full package" deal so all the above would be the premium as graphite 675 stated..My apologies,...
