That's what I have, the integrated unit. It doesn't put a lot of light out when flashing. But I do most of my riding during the day, so maybe that contributes to it. (I'm sure it's much more noticable at night.)

The leds in the side of the tail to augment is what I'm thinking...

Because people want them... and somewhere out there, there is a motorcycle (because it doesnt matter what brand for FE's) rider who wants one...

Yeh, the comp werkes kit "should" be about $50 bux shipped. Leaving the manufacture to make a solid 50% mark up.

Stay away from the "Clear Alternatives" integrated light. They are junk!! Mine was a POS, as well as countless others on this forum!! There are other companies with similer products that I've heard are ok. Check out Ebay. They have a couple differant brands. Lockhart Phillips, moto tuning ect.

Hi,

The first thing when I got my baby I was thinking to get rid of this ugly stock plate holder and found the comp werkes solution as the best solution...clean and easy to install and the attached LED works perfect. From my point of view thats the way the rear has to looks like.
I know in some states it isnt allow to install it that way and I feel sorry for some of you but here in Paradise I can do whatever I want to do with my bike...

Yeah same here. In Canada I need to follow the rules. Cops around here have nothing better to do. In Hong Kong, I can do whatever I want to my bike.

Honestly, this is something that anyone can make with simple tools. Check out this thread from Blade. http://www.ducatispot.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11521
Why spent so much $$$$$ for one when you can make one for less than 5 bucks. Who is going to care how it looks or what brand it is when it is under your bike.

You probably need the "red" reflector just in case cop stop you.

CHP signed off on it... I carry a copy of the sign-off with me just in case. What's nice is it uses the stock light which makes it real obvious. You can rotate the plate to face perpendicular to the viewer also but I prefer my set-up (and it doesn't rub- at all).

I have to agree on the rub on rear hugger. I now have a stiffer spring to avoid the rub. (DU515 with 95Nmm spring) Old photo.
