Does anyone know if we can run our turn signal wires for the mirrors to these? I want to run mirror block offs but I think the bar end blinkers stick out too far....

Thanks in advance!

Considered it myself.
As soon as I find a good fairing mirror replacement.

Have you searched? Bet it's been done.

Coloured ones not legal here. I have already replaced both my parking bulbs (done a lot of miles), so the stockers do blow. Expensive too.. ($29 ea.) I got them much cheaper as a Mercedes part ($15). A couple of questions/clarifications:
1.Anyone know of an Aussie supplier of the LEDs, and how much they are?
2.Is BAX9 (12V/2.5W) all they need to know?
3.So it's definitely the LHS (as you sit on the bike) that needs the polarity reversed?
(Maybe this last issue is the cause of the one above which flashes and goes off?).
Thanks

Yeah I am thinking that the red ones might not be street legal here either now that you mention it.

Well to answer some of your questions...

1. Sorry dont know, but I got mine off Ebay for cheap, so far so good...

2. Yes

3. If you are sitting on the bike it is the RHS that needs polarity reversed. So yeah you had it mixed up and is probably why your light flashes.

[quote=FlyerLen;44386]Thanks for the great idea and tip, doc! I NEVER would've thought of this myself. FYI, when he says "right" side, he means looking at it from the front, NOT sitting on it...

My question (3) related to this comment. I haven't actually got anything "mixed up" - only wanted to clear up the conflicting advice in this thread for the benefit of all.
It just occurred to me that this may have led to BDitty's problem (Post #24).
Thanks

I just did this mod earlier tonight and I had to switch the pins on the Left side (looking at it from front) or right side (sitting on the seat). That was the only one that needed adjusted and they both work great...

Also, did you see my post about if the white or red looks better? any opinions on it?

good luck, easy mod and looks great!

i'll ask this question again: can these light work as signal lights? i'm thinking that they are kinda useless as they are stock. but if they can flash with the mirror sig lights, and overcome the head lights, they might add to visibility and safety when turning. i'm thinking that they might be drowned out by the head lights though.

i'm a dummy when it comes to electrical but i think it should be possible. i have two led sig lights on each side of the rear. bike's po had leds in the vents. i felt they might not be enouh in bright daylight so i added these led license plate lights:

it turned out pretty good.
