LED parking lights

this has some interest in the 848 section of the forums, so thought it would be worthwhile here:

to have LED parking lights (the lights inside of the main halogen headlamps), do this:

The left parking light is a simple change of the stock bulb with the LED. On the right, the polarity is wrong. Turn the bulb holder counterclockwise so that the bulb and the bulb socket can be removed. Then you will notice a small tab holding the bulb socket to the wire harness. Undo this with a flathead screwdriver and the lightbulb and socket will be free. Remove the lightbulb and you will notice two prongs that are in the bulb socket that plug into the harness. Take a needle nose plier and carefully push them foward into the socket that holds the lightbulb. You will then have two electrodes free...simply switch each to the other side and push them into place with the needle nose plier. Add the LED bulb and reattach to the harness. It will then work perfectly.

Thanks for the great idea and tip, doc! I NEVER would've thought of this myself. FYI, when he says "right" side, he means looking at it from the front, NOT sitting on it...

Stock...

Right...

Both...

I especially like that they have links to their distributors around the world so we don't get nailed with huge shipping costs or duties. Excellent link.
