Cool Front Turn signals (mirrors) on 1198

My left mirror/turn signal is flaking out (blinker light not lighting). If I squeeze the unit with my hands, it will continually work. How do you take the mirror assembly apart? If there is a loose connection, I would like to fix it.

Thanks

Steve

You may already know this, but to get it off, remove the single allen head screw from inside the fairing and pop the unit off the fairing (it's spring loaded at that point).

There is a small snap in connector that it plugs into. Maybe that's loose?

Sorry if this isn't what you meant, I haven't taken the actual mirror assembly apart.

I'm in Franklin, TN

Need to disassemble the mirror and light assembly. Already have the mirror off the bike. I just don't want to break it.

I'm having a similar problem, my front turn signals aren't working, all fuses are good I bench tested the turn signals they're fine. Not sure where to go from here. I live in Murfreesboro tn

Random,

Do you have someone near you that has the same bike? You could simply borrow theirs

If I remember correctly, if you pry off the light pod on the mirrors from the inner side and the lowerside it should come out pretty easy. Refer to the pic below. Please do this at your own risk.

This happened to mine a while back. 2 years ago
What I did was remove the light pod itself it was a sealed unit
I took a dremel with a cutting wheel cut it open. (carefully)
Once open removed the circuit board and realized there was a wire popped of the connector.
Soldered it back on.
Used some 3m clear epoxy sealed it back up!
Been working great since. cant even tell it was ever opened.
Saved a few bucks for sure
