Rick's Motorsports or stock Ducati V/R?

My voltage regulator on my 1098 is crapping out (yes, the recall was done). Did anyone replace the stock V/R with the one from Rick's Motorsports? Does the one from Rick's seem to work any better, supposedly it stays cooler. Thanks for the input.

Neither. Buy a Shindengen MOSFET regulator (p/n FH012) for ~$120. Don't bother with the Ducati piece. It's what all the japanese manufacturers use (e.g. does not fail).
