mirror fell off the demo bike I rode before ordering mine. Dealer said the clip that holds the mirror insert to the housing is flimsy and should be bigger. This was on the 2007. So far my 2008 has yet to have this problem. Not sure if Ducati changed the size of the clip or my dealer just took care of mine before it became a problem.

Exchanged mirrors yesterday for new 2008 ones. The 2007 ones are a discontinued item . Think the insides are a little beafier. All done on warranty.

New mirror problem?

Are you guys saying that the mirror (actual glass part) fell off? I removed my mirrors to take off the upper fairing and put on the a new windscreen and found that the whole mirror/turn signal housing is broken. There are 2 pins (?) that clip through and then a bolt tightens it up. The boss with the threaded insert that the bolt tightens to snapped off. Has anyone else seen this?

The moveable part of the mirror, that being the glass and it's black plastic back plate falls out of the housing. If you have the earlier mirrors you could get them replace under warranty perhaps. I did. Don't know though how you would know if you had the old or new mirrors already.

Hey Gaylord!!! How's the mirror saga? Got it back on yet? Did you do it, or did you get the dealer to do it? Was it the mirror itself, or did it fall off at the extendy bit bolt up spot?

What's happened to you in the Legs thread Pecs/Gaylord/Legs/WilltherealLegspleasestandup? We miss you Gaylord.

Gaylord has deserted us all; died and gone to hot-milky-manna heaven...

....Pecs, I am pleased to say, is his own man!
