Mine stalls at stop lights the cluch on mine might. Need adjustment looking into that part of it at stop lights and slow driven around 25 mph I leaven it in first until 35 mph I know it is revved high but it does not chug or clatter as much when the light is green I give her hell when the bike is above 170 degrees F*. It has almost 5,000 on it driven down the high way does fine but in town you better race that bike from stop light to stop sign lol. Need a post a vote on it I think that might be one way out of a ticket if I drive the speed limit the bike dies need to raise the speed limit on the roads.

Mine also stalled, the previous owner had taken it to a few places with no luck. I changed the ecu and the stalling went away. I think the previous ecu had a bad map but don't know for sure.

Hi there , email Emma McDonald [email protected] They are really helpful and I garantee they can fix your problem . I have done 2 bikes with outstanding results, my 1098s i have remapped 3x to par up with on going mods. No stalling , no hunting, no flat spots, no dyno, just smooth power. They will supply a dynoed map to suit a variety of modifications right back to stock. Their web site confuses a bit but its piss easy. Hardest part is downloading hardware to your lap top. Just note that your stock ECU is locked under 5000rpm , piggy back modules alter above this but your issues are always between 1200 and 5000 rpm . Their software retrieves the code from the OEM ecu and they send you the code/keys to unlock and then download their mapping. The mapping i have used changes the motors' characteristics different sound less vibration better throttle response and so on.

My 2008 1098S never lasts more than a few days after I get it back from the shop after having the idle and TPS reset. It drops in idle speed over the next few days and weeks until it simply will not idle at all.

I can also add to this. I had mine stall in a 4 way intersection and naturally it re-cranked but thankfully the vehicle behind me wasn't following too closely

I wouldn't say it happens to often, it's a 2007 with 5700 miles on it. I don't track it or ride it very hard, but if I'm at low operating temp, or higher operating temp it is known to happen rarely. We'll see how it reacts after full service maint.
