Belgium

Try this Dealership. English is spoken. On another note it depends wherre in Europe you intend do live on where you buy. Thinnk of warrenty, and maintanance. best to strike up a good relationship with the dealer. If you are in Ireland do not on any acount go to Ducati Dublin. A set of a****s.

It depends on which country you are going, wasn't it?

This is something to think about due to the difference in price and the exchange rate. I recently moved from the US to Belgium, and I opted to bring my 848 with me rather than sell it and try to buy a new one here. The reason being is that my 848 was $14,500 USD out the door with tax, title, license, and accessories. With the exchange rate at the time, that was like getting an 848 for about 9000. Since it only cost $2500 to ship it, the choice was simple.

HOWEVER, look into the customs and tax situation where you are going first. Belgian customs required that I own it for at least 6 months prior to importing it in order to qualify for duty- and tax-free importation, and I cannot sell it for 12 months afterward. If you don't meet the conditions you may have to pay duties and tax which can be quite expensive, making this option not very cost-effective. You also have to supply proof so there is really no way to bullshit your way out of it.

Where in Europe are you going?

when you have it titled for more then 6 month in the US and you move (example Germany) you don't have to pay tax for it when you bring it in. My price difference is calculated for Germany.

Maybe another note to add. I believe that there is a diference on importing a new bike and one that has been in your ownership for a period of time, six months for example.
My thought would be to look at the least hassle factor and buy on in Europe when you arrive, it will be winter soon and you may get a good deal in a month or so....
