broken front nose mount

I have an 06/08 1098R with two cracked nose fairing mounts. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Do you have pictures or can you be more specific?

I've had this problem as well, it's kind of a weak link. I've also seen this on a few other bike's that have been in my little shop.

If you mean the two pieces of plastic that have nuts embedded in them that accept horizontal bolts. Then yea, I found one busted off once. Just blamed it on over-tightening at the factory.

While reading this post I decided to check the 3 bolts that hold the front nose piece on (maintenance manual). To my surprise the center one is broken at the base. It doesn't have any external cracks or marks of any kind. Maybe DNA will replace? Everything else is good.

My lower mount in the nose is hanging by a thread. It kind of pisses me off. The upper two mounts seem fine, however.
