848's are selling like hot cakes...

is it stilll possible to bargain one of these for under 15k OTD?

hard to bargain when the dealership knows they sell fast and could sell with or without your bargain.

I'd look for a new demo if you want to work a good deal. My 09 was a demo with around 600 miles on it. They did the first service free, tossed in some apparel, tank guard, etc, and knocked down the price about 2500. If you can put up with it not being technically new, it might be an option for yah.

i got a 2012 OTD for 146XX, for me i was a stroke of luck and a matter of timing. the salesman i dealt with had a bonus coming his way if he pushed one more bike before the month was out. so he took a hit on his commission and got me that deal last week of the month.

I got one for 10ish that had 2700 miles and some exhaust. Not new, but I saved a shitload of money and besides... I can turn a new one into a used one in less than a week anyway.

If you don't go in asking the sales guy if they break down alot, like you did on another thread, you might get a better deal....

Actually if you can find an 2011 you might do ok, other than that you're buying at the begining of riding season and the demand is up. so get a used one with a couple mods and enjoy. there's always a bunch for sale on this site.

+1. You can usually find an '09-'10 with low miles for 10-11K. I'd go that route than mod it to my liking; you'd get the exact bike you want at less than retail for a 2012.

Since this appears to be his first bike, with some of the comments and questions he's posted, he'd need to find a 1098 that comes with the matching ducati tricolor bodybag.

It is his first bike... I warned him against that on the other thread, but good advice is made to be ignored. Hopefully he'll do ok on it.

Hey ducloverv, since this thread is going nowhere anyway. I always meant to ask you, "are you in the band you use for your avatar or just a big fan?

Hahaha, I didn't realize that pic was for a band. I just found it when I did a Google image search to go with my signature line.
