Bought a 916R 7 years ago

Rebuilding finally the 1995 916R, motors done and set up ready for the swing arm. I have all the original parts ( pin, bushes and spacers ) but cannot get it to work. I’ve got to desperation point and found a full set NOS bushes. They are on the way. Thoughts please

If it came out it will go back in..

Except maybe all the shims.. for some reason losing the thinnest seems common.
Unless you left it in the rain and it shrunk.

Yeah I know but it’s not even close, swapped the frame and all dimensions are identical. Same casings ......... I can’t work it out. Got a full set of brand new spacers/bushings on the way just on the off chance the originals have grown ;-))

Have a look at these videos. I found them really helpful when I was rebuilding my bike.

Everythiing should fit together like a finger up a bum unless there is something the wrong size.

By the way, what is a 916R?
